Among the specimens donated by the engineer Giovanni Battista Traverso to the Civic Museum of Genoa, there was a specimen of Variscite, a mineralogical species that was new at the time, not only for Sardinia but for the entire Italian territory. The mineralogist Alberto Pelloux immediately studied its characteristics, and in 1912, he published this booklet reporting the chemical-physical results and final considerations regarding thisspecimen. Over time, this piece became part of the Renato Pagano collection. ( watch and listen to the video below )
