Perfect and unique crystallisation with superb aesthetics, “artichoke” Quartz, Chalcopyrite and minor Galena  from Boldut Mine, Cavnic mining area, Cavnic, Maramures Romania – the “artichoke” quartz is an unusual stepped quartz crystallisation in which ther’s a mosaic development of small subindividual crystals adorning the main quartz and giving a rounded vaguely artichoke-like appearance – this specimen is undoubtedly highly representative and the presence of a prominent Chalcopyrite crystal, seated atop, complete the extraordinary beauty of this piece ; minor Galena crystals are present, with unusual rounded edges giving a melted appearance – overall size 8,5×5,5×4 cm. – main Quartz 5.5 cm, main Chalcopyrite 1.9 cm.
