This specimen is accompanied by the original “Ward’s Science Establishm’t label, making it a true piece of mineralogical history. Founded in Rochester,NY, by academic and explorer Henry Augustus Ward, Ward’s is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious institution for scientific supplies. The term “Dana” on the label is a fundamental reference for any mineral collector : it refers to James Dwight Dana’s System of Mineralogy, one of the most important and long-standing classification methods in history.

Over time, this specimen became part of the Renato Pagano collection, and now we are happy to present it to you.
