Axinite crystals from Puiva Mount, Saranpaul, Berezovo district, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Russia – sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy to translucent, brown Axinite crystals elegantly emerging from a white aggregate of fibrous Amphibole supergroup (Byssolite/Tremolite); in the Ural mountains, with subarctic climate, the Puiva mount area is a remote locale with alpine-type deposit; many specimens was found between 1980s 1990s but only later did they reach world markets; this place is a reference point for every Axinite collectors but today is very difficult to obtain specimens showing a high quality level like this, here for sale – overall size 11x8x5 cm. – main crystal 4x2x1 cm.
